Your heart,
sent into the night sky.
A singular night in Katakai, given to someone you love.
Not simply to watch,
but to entrust your heart.

- In Katakai, fireworks are not
only something to look at. - For some 400 years,
people here have entrusted their wishes, their thanks
and the milestones of their lives to fireworks,
and sent them up into the night sky. - On this journey,
you become the one who entrusts those feelings. - To whom, and with what words?
We listen beforehand,
and shape the night for your party alone. - As the firework rises,
you look up at the same sky as the one beside you. - Feelings that words cannot fully carry,
made into one brief, great bloom.
Whom will you honour, and with what feeling?
- A Wedding AnniversaryA journey celebrating the years behind you, and the years ahead.
- A Gift for Someone DearFor the thank-you that words alone cannot carry.
- A Milestone in LifeA night to mark a new beginning — a sixtieth birthday, a retirement.
- A ProposalFor a moment you will remember all your life.

What remains when the journey ends.

Fireworks fade from the sky.
Here, they are kept on paper.
At the Katakai Festival, the hanabi banzuke — a printed programme recording who offers each firework, and with what wish — is cherished as one of the festival’s pleasures.
Inspired by this tradition, HIYORI creates an original banzuke for your journey and presents it to you on paper. The words placed in your firework, your anniversary and your message to the one you honour are kept on a single sheet — a keepsake that stays with you long after you return home.
